England coach Fabio Capello insists he has not been contacted about the Inter Milan vacancy.
Inter are looking for a new coach following Jose Mourinho’s departure to Real Madrid, and president Massimo Moratti has confirmed his interest in Capello.
But Capello, poised to name his 23-man squad for the World Cup, said: “I’m England manager and I’m happy here.
“I have not spoken with anyone at Inter Milan.”
Capello is poised to finalise a new contract on Wednesday when he meets with new Club England chairman Sir David Richards and the Football Association.
“I signed the contract with Brian Barwick, then changed it with Lord Triesman, I shook his hand,” the Italian continued.
“Now I have to speak with the new chairman but I think I will be staying. It will be clear when I speak with Sir Dave Richards.”
