Germany hitman Miroslav Klose puts team glory ahead of goalscoring record

Germany striker Miroslav Klose insists he does not “really care” if he beats Ronaldo’s World Cup goalscoring record.

Ladbrokes has released a new promotion code FREECASH. The code should be entered when you sign-up and will qualify you for a £25 free bonus when you deposit £5.

The 32-year-old netted twice in Saturday’s 4-0 humbling of Argentina to take his World Cup career total to 14, just one behind former Brazil star Ronaldo.

But Klose, 7/2 with Ladbrokes to beat the mark, insists the record is not the prize he wants to leave South Africa with.

He said: “I don’t know whether I am going to pass Ronaldo’s record, and I don’t really care.

“I didn’t think about the record beforehand, I just wanted to win the game. I am more interested in what we do as a team.

“If we end this tournament winning the World Cup that would be far more important than any goals I score.”
