Germany coach Joachim Loew has warned rival teams not to underestimate striker Miroslav Klose at the World Cup.
The 31-year-old, who won the Golden Boot in 2006, has struggled for form with club side Bayern Munich this season.
But Loew insists that does not mean Klose is finished.
He told Bild: “People have written Miro off before. But when it comes to it, he is there.
“It is clear that it will be no easy task to get Miro on form. It will be hard work, for him, for us. He has to work a lot. He still hasn’t shown the form that he is actually capable of.
“For Miro, it is now about becoming more certain in training.”
Klose is 33/1 with totesport, Boylesports, Paddy Power, StanJames and bwin to retain the Golden Boot, while Bet365, SkyBet, Blue Square, 888Sport and William Hill are offering 3/1 that he will end the tournament as Germany’s top scorer.
