Holland winger Arjen Robben has emerged as a doubt for this summer’s World Cup after injuring his hamstring during a friendly.
Robben, a half-time substitute, netted twice in Holland’s 6-1 thrashing of Hungary in their World Cup warm-up, but was forced off with injury in the closing minutes.
The Bayern Munich star will undergo a scan on Sunday, and coach Bert van Marwijk is fearing the worst.
He told www.vi.nl: “I would rather lose this match and have Arjen stay fit.
“He felt a sharp pain. That does not bode well. But I do not lose hope.”
The Oranje are currently 11/1 with Blue Square and 888Sport to lift the Jules Rimet Trophy on July 11.
