Michael Laudrup claims World Cup-bound Wesley Sneijder is match-winner

World Cup Staff - 21 May 2010

Former Denmark international Michael Laudrup believes Wesley Sneijder could be the key man for Inter Milan in this weekend’s Champions League final.

Sneijder will complete his club campaign against Bayern Munich before joining up with Holland‘s provisional squad for this summer’s World Cup.

And when asked to pick a potential match-winner between Sneijder and Bayern Munich’s Arjen Robben, Laudrup went with the Inter man.

He told Goal.com: “I think they are very different players. Robben is more of a one-on-one individualist. He’s a player who can decide a game.

“I think Sneijder is having a great time playing at Inter because he has three midfield players who work a lot and it allows him to think more about going forward.

“He also has two strikers in front, Samuel Eto’o and Diego Milito, who run a lot as well.

“But it is difficult to choose between the two, maybe Sneijder could be the man.”
