Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas focused on Spain's World Cup campaign

World Cup Staff - 26 May 2010

Cesc Fabregas has admitted holding talks about his future with Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger – but insists his main focus is on Spain’s World Cup campaign.

Fabregas has been linked with a summer return to Barcelona this summer, and the Catalan giants have confirmed they have contact the Gunners about a move.

But, for now, the 23-year-old is concentrating solely on helping European champions Spain win the Jules Rimet Trophy in South Africa.

He said: “I have had a long conversation with Arsene. I respect him so much and do not want to say too much.

“He told me to concentrate on my football and the World Cup. He told me to leave it in his hands and he will deal with my future.

“It is not up to me anymore. It is now about Arsenal and whoever it has to be. I do not want to say anything else.”

Spain go into the World Cup as favourites to win the 2010 World Cup on the back of their stunning Euro 2008 success.

But if you want to back another team StanJames has extended an incredible concession to anyone not betting on Spain this summer.

If you bet on anyone other than Spain winning the World Cup and Spain wins the tournament, the bookmaker will give you your money back.

So if you were to back England and Spain won you'd get your money back.*
