Spain are the favourites for the World Cup, and it is easy to see why. Their squad is made up of the best players from the best club sides in the world, and no other nation on earth possesses the same kind of strength in depth as Vicente Del Bosque’s squad.
They were, however, a little bit off in their recent three-two friendly win over Saudi Arabia, and Del Bosque will be keen to remedy the defensive errors this evening when they face South Korea.
Spain are just 1/4 (Ladbrokes) to win tonight, and 7/10 (Bet365) to beat a one goal handicap. They should manage both, but caution would be advised.
South Korea are not brilliant, but they work tirelessly, and five wins in six matches, including against Japan and Ivory Coast, who will be competing in South Africa, isn’t to be sniffed at. They are 11/1 (SportingBet) to beat Spain, or 6/1 (Bet365) to hold the European champions to a draw.
Both of those results are exceptionally unlikely, and a better bet would be either the 8/11 (PaddyPower) that Spain are leading at half-time and full-time in the match, or else PaddyPower’s even money that Spain win without conceding.
