If Spain line up for the World Cup final as they did in the semi-final – then they’ll make a piece of history.
It will mean ‘la seleccion’ will have seven Barcelona players in the eleven, a record for most players from one club to start for a national team in the World Cup final.
The current record of six is held by the 1974 Germany side, with players from Bayern Munich, and the 1982 Italy line-up, with players from Juventus.
William Hill offer odds of 1/2 that the 2010 Spain team break the record, and 6-4 they don’t.
Spokesman Tony Kenny said: "Villa, Xavi, Iniesta, Busquets, Pique, and Puyol are all fixtures in the Spanish team.
"So it just comes down to whether Del Bosque decides to stick with Pedro or bring Torres back into the team. We think he’ll stick with Pedro – which means history will be made."
