Robin van Persie is the 2/1 favourite to score in a Holland victory, but the Arsenal frontman has netted just once in the tournament so far and has not looked particularly dangerous.
So the tasty pick has to be Wesley Sneijder (10/3), who has already netted four times during the campaign. The Dutch midfielder continues to get inside opposition penalty areas and is usually keen to try his luck from distance too – and with the Jabulani ball, anything can happen!
Influential winger Arjen Robben is another inviting selection having looked threatening in his two previous starts. The Bayern Munich star only managed a handful of minutes in the group stage as he recovered from a hamstring injury, but in those moments he did manage to rattle the framework. Robben's goal against Slovakia was trademark stuff, cutting inside to fire past the keeper, and the Uruguayan full-backs will be in for a torrid time on Tuesday night.
Workhorse Dirk Kuyt (7/2) is hardly prolific but continues to find himself in good positions and his work ethic will always create openings, while Klaas-Jan Huntelaar (14/5) knows where the net is so a cameo appearance from him could lead to a goal.
With prolific hitman Luis Suarez sitting this one out through suspension, the pressure will be on Diego Forlan (15/2) to fire Uruguay into the final, but the Atletico Madrid striker will not able to do it all himself – and this could be a problem for the South Americans.
Other than Forlan and Suarez, only Alvaro Pareira (22/1) has scored during the tournament. Uruguay will be hoping he can add to his strike against South Africa, while the match would be an ideal time for potential Tottenham signing Edinson Cavani (10/1) to get off the mark.
Uruguay are fortunate to find themselves in the semi-finals, having survived a last-gasp penalty scare against Ghana to advance via a shootout, and for this reason they are 11/2 to win in 90 minutes. Holland are, quite rightly, 8/13 favourites, and it could just be a matter of getting a solitary goalscorer right and your bet will be a winner!
