William Hill odds on next England boss - Could David Beckham replace Fabio Capello?

Over the next fortnight every man and his dog will have an opinion on who will be the next manager of England.

Fabio Capello is under immense pressure to either walk away from his multi-million pound deal or be sacked after England’s dismal World Cup campaign.

The Three Lions were dumped out at the Last 16 stage with a 4-1 defeat against Germany on Sunday, and talk of Capello’s successor has already started.

The favourite to replace the Italian at the moment is Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp at 7/4, while Fulham’s Roy Hodgson is also in the running at 7/2 with William Hill.

One dark horse for the role is former England captain David Beckham, who after a couple of hours has gone from 33/1 to 16/1 to be the next England manager.

Beckham would be a good man to have involved with the team, but whether he is the right man for the job without any managerial experience is a different question entirely.

Is Beckham the right man for England, or put it another way, could he be worse than Capello?

Next England manager betting with William Hill:

7/4     Harry Redknapp
7/2     Roy Hodgson
7/1     Stuart Pearce
10/1   Martin O'Neill
12/1   Jose Mourinho, Sam Allardyce
14/1   Arsene Wenger
16/1   David Beckham, Steve Bruce, Mark Hughes
20/1   Guus Hiddink
25/1   Alan Shearer
