William Hill shortens odds on Spain and Brazil - England draw forces Hills' hands

England's disappointing draw with the United States has led to William Hill shortening their odds on Spain and Brazil.

The Spaniards were cut from 4/1 to 7/2, and Brazilians are now 9/2 second favourites from 5/1 after the Three Lions (still 8/1) failed to see off the Americans.

Hills now make Fabio Capello’s men 4/11 shots to top the group, and the United States are available at 10/3.

But the big talking point is Robert Green's place as England number one after his mistake gifted the Americans their equaliser in the 1-1 draw.

The bookmaker make David James their even money favourite to start in goal against Algeria on Friday, with both Green and Joe Hart 9-4.

The latest Group C odds from William Hill:

Group C Winner:  4-11 England, 10-3 USA, 9-1 Slovenia, 16-1 Algeria

Group Qualification:  1-10 England, 8-15 USA, 9-5 Slovenia, 7-2 Algeria

Not To Qualify:  1-6 Algeria, 2-5 Slovenia, 11-8 USA, 11-2 England
